A New Baby Is Coming

Polly, Penelope, Patricia, Piglet, Pooh Bear, Paisley, Primrose, Phoebe, Paige, Pellie, or Roo what will it be. We've been having fun seeing what everyone thinks the new baby will be named since this is the first time we haven't told anyone. We have laid out the clue it begins with a "P," but that is all and the kiddos are going crazy not knowing what their new little sister will be named, but also having fun at guessing the name. We only have a little more than a day now and we can hardly wait to introduce our eighth child to the family and to the world. We feel very blessed and loved that God has entrusted us with another blessing from above and especially at this holy time of the year. Praise be to Him!

Homemade Baby Wipes- WONDERFUL!!!

So as many of you know, I've been trying to save as much $$ as I can, and man have I stumbled upon a GREAT one!
I am making my own baby wipes and have been using them for a few weeks now and guess what... they work and better yet, I know exactly what's in them and what's going on my baby's bum.
Here's the details...
2 cups of water boiled then cooled down to room temp.
Mix in 1 Tablespoon of baby oil and 2 Tablespoons of baby wash or shampoo.
All you do is take a roll of paper towels and cut it in half making 2 rolls. Then pull the middle tube out of one and place in a tupperware bucket with a lid(I got a set of three snap lid rubbermaid ones at Walmart). Just pour your liquid mix over the paper towels and snap lid on and let sit for @ least 30 minutes. Then flip over and let the towels soak up the rest of the liquid. You can just leave them in the container, or fold them up and place them into an old wipe container(I've done both and they both work great). Basically you get 2 containers of wipes for a dollar(I get my paper towels at the dollar store or with a coupon at Walmart For $1 each). Not bad, considering one container cost around $2.50 and refills are over $5 for a 3 pack.
This is one of my new favs for saving some cool, hard $$$!

More Baby Legs and my cute lit'l model!

Over this last weekend I quickly made more cute baby legs for my lit'l munchkin. I found all these at Walmart for only 1.25 each and knew they would match all her cute outfits. It's been a cold spring so far so these help her legs stay warm. She's not one for pants very much, so a onesie and these, are perfect for her and perfect for quick diaper changes. They are so simple to make that I made 9 pairs in a little over an hour. Gotta love quick crafts. I love crafting, but I'm finding it hard to do right now. The time just flies by. My crafting list is a mile long full of projects I want to do, but with our garden, yard work, inside projects, prepping for next year's home schooling, the end of this school year coming, trying to find swim lessons for the kids, training for our 5K, and oh yeah... taking care of the six kids, my craft projects have been on the back burner. These however, I had time to finish.

And here is my cute little model with her patriotic outfit.
The lit'l baby legs go so well with this outfit. She was simply fascinated with her new flip flops. Oh my, I didn't even know they made lit'l baby flip flops, how C-U-T-E! I bought this dress last year on clearance thinking she could wear it for the 4th of July, but again, my baby is just like our other kids and grows too fast. I don't think it'll fit her by July, so she'll just have to wear it now.

Look What I Can Do Now!

My little munchkin has been at it again! She has had the standing up against something trick down for a week now, but now she has taken it a step further. She has figured out how to pull herself up ALL BY HERSELF! Aggghh! She is so proud of herself and so cute doing it, but she needs to slow down for me, I mean for herself, I mean, c'mon give one trick some time before you go learning something else. Sheesh! Here's her trick in her crib and I think we need to lower her mattress again. I don't want her to start climbing out of it now.
Bella loves to try and eat everything, hence she just had to "taste" the gate. Apparently she actually did this trick last night, but I missed it. I was out mowing the front lawn and Eric sent Alexis out to get me to come and see. However, she said Bella is holding onto the gate and standing. I didn't think this was a big deal because she has been doing this on her knees for awhile now. I didn't know she meant Bella had pulled herself up and was standing on her feet at the gate. Eric actually got to see one of our babies do something for the first time before I saw it. And this folks is why I DON'T work out of the home. I hate missing my babies' firsts. I'm glad and grateful I have been able to stay at home with all my babies. I have seen all their firsts, laughed, cried, yelled, cooked, played, etc. with all of them and I wouldn't have missed any of it for the world. I may have missed this first of Bella's, but I got the first picture of it!

You just gotta love that grin!
Loves eating those bars!

Guess Who Game

I was playing with Bella the other day and we are trying to get her to like being on her tummy. We play tummy time to get her used to it, but she still rather play on her back. I took these really cute pictures of her and noticed many similarities to other kids' pictures. See if you can see the similarities as well.

So, we have a picture of Kaleigh at 3 months (which everyone says Bella looks like anyways), then we have Logan at about 3 months and then I found my picture at 2 months. Bella is definately my baby and she definately belongs to our family.

Bringing Bella Home

Our sweet Bella Georgia in her going home outfit on Friday morning.
She's starting to get a little camera shy. So sweet!

She's very alert and wide eyed when she's awake. She has big eyes just like her big brother, Logan. She is a real mixture of all the kids. Her mouth and chin is like Kaleigh, she has eyes like Logan, and she has my nose just like all of the other kids. That's seven for seven little darlings. We couldn't be happier. It's crazy, but nothing else would be better than our sweet seven.

Ultrasound of Baby Girl Hansen

This is our lovely little girl. She is quite the mover and shaker. She is already giving me heartbreak. We had some trouble and worry with her due to she is really laying low in my tummy, but as of today she is doing good. The doctor isn't worried anymore and says she's growing good and active.

We still don't have a definite day for the C-section because the hospital has strict rules about how many days before the due date you can go in. We thought we would be able to go on the 3rd of June, but the hospital says no. The earliest they say is the 6th but that is a weekend so it will be either the 8th or 10th of June. We are hoping for the 8th so I can be home on the 12th of June and not in the hospital. The 8th would be fun because that's when I was due with Christian, but he was born on the 12th. So keep your fingers crossed that we get the 8th so we can be home on the 12th. We're excited to finally have a summer baby again. It's been a long time since we had one and I just love being outdoors with the babies.

The countdown has begun!

We have finally found out the exact date of the ultrasound. It actually turned out to be later than we were hoping for, due to the office being closed. We now will know what the baby is on January 22nd. I'm so excited, but it's no fun having to wait a week longer than I wanted to. Oh well, what are you going to do. It will be nice to know so I can stop calling the baby he and finally know if it's a he or she. I confuse my poor kiddies with referring to the baby as a he. They think that is what the baby is. I just always think he until I know for sure. Eric and most of the kids think it's a boy, but my little Laney is determined the baby is a girl. It should be interesting to see if we end up with more boys or more girls. Wish us luck that the baby is healthy and strong!

Christmas Blessings

Hey there! I'm new at this, but I decided I wanted to try it. I just love Christmas time with all the lights, songs, and giddy children. We are enjoying our children and their amazement of all the sights and sounds of Christmas. We also are enjoying our bit of news.
WE ARE EXPECTING OUR 7TH, YES 7TH CHILD!
To say the least, we are very excited and can't wait until this spring. Our little one is due somewhere around the end of May or beginning of June. We just thought we would share our happiness with you and hope you all have a WONDERFUL, JOYFUL, CHRISTMAS SEASON!
