Field Day Fun!!

The girls all had field day at school this week and I went with them for the first time ever. It was Alexis's last one, because they go to Boondocks in 6th grade, so I just HAD to go. It was so much fun watching Alexis and Laney. Apparently their school does field day in sections, so I was unable to see Kaleigh's. Hers wasn't until 1 p.m. and I only had a sitter for the morning session. I'll just have to go to hers next year. The girls and I made these cute flip flops just in time for their water day. We made them for the pool, but we thought why not wear them to field day-it's just a big day of water fun anyways. Aren't they just so cauuute! Guess who's who feet.

Laney's class doing parachute games. It was one of the few waterless games. It was nice because Laney's class was only one station behind Alexis's class, which made picture taking very easy. I didn't have to run across the field trying to grab pics of both girls.

They also had this huge slide that almost everyone in A's class jumped off instead of sliding. Hence, why the pic of A is just of her head at the bottom of the slide. By the time I got to the pic, she was already done. CRAZY girl!!!

Miss Laney Banes at the chalk drawing station. She loves this too. It was a perfect day for this smiley girl. It was fun for me too and very informative for me as well. I learned that I have another little thrill seeker on my hands.

Ready. Set. Throw!! This was girls vs. boys in throwing the wettest balls at each other. As you can see in the pic, A enjoyed herself a lot. She was glad I came and so was I. Thanks to my MIL for watching the little ones, I could go have some fun with my girls.

A's class at the tug-of-war. The parents were mean to the bigger kids at this one. They sprayed them with the hose as they tried to pull the other side into the pool. Needless to say, they were ALL soaked after this station.

Funniest part of the whole field day. A decided to try the dunk tank out and man was she SOAKED! She loved it, but looked like a drowned rat afterwards.

She really wanted to do it, but once up on the seat she gave it another thought, but in the end she went for it. I AM IN TROUBLE!!! I now have two, brave, thrill-seeking girls. I'm sure our life will be filled with bumps and bruises along the way, but oh how so much fun we will have. This was a very, fun day for us all and I am so looking forward to our 3 weeks of summer fun.

Our House Party!

So we had our fun Hasbro Game Night sponsord by House Party last week. We had a ton of fun even with our small gathering. It seems like summer should be the time to gather and have a party, but that's just not the case. Summer means everyone is SUPER busy. I guess this means we'll just have to have another. We had a belly-aching time. We laughed, ate, and had some mean rivalry boy vs. girl game action! We all tested out the new Trivial Pursuit, Bet You Know It, and had some good times. We played the boys against the girls, and us girls let the boys win! Haha =)! The kids were all itchin to dig in to all the good eats. We had sandwiches, fruit, treats and other tasty snacks. We ate until we dropped, just kiddin'! The kids, however, did eat until they dropped into dreamland. They love a good party!

We had to have us some balloons. The kids say, "it's just not a party unless there are balloons."

I made some tasty party favors for everyone who came. I thought they were really cute and Lana decided she would copy them for their party game nights too.
Laughs, fun, rivalry, and good times were had by all. The best thing for us is we now have 3 new games for our family and friends to play with us. I just love our free game package from HOUSE PARTY and all the fun we have had with it!

House Party Hasbro Game Night!!

It came! It came! It came!I signed up with House Party to try and host a Hasbro Game Night and I got picked! Woot! Woot!

This is all the stuff they sent us for free for our party night on June 17th. It's so we can try out Trivial Pursuit's new game "Bet you know it." We also got electronic catch phrase, taboo, triscuits galore, wheat thins, and some yummy hershey's candy. We also have coupons for all our party guests that gives them $5 off for one of their games. So, don't forget all you party guests, come on down and party at the Game House. Discovery Garden Day with Grandma!

This past week my lit'l kindergartner has been out of school for end-of-year testing, and we couldn't have been any happier. It's tough doing fun stuff when you have to pick up a kid only 2 1/2 hours later. We took advantage and had some fun. We went down to Thanksgiving Point's Children's Garden. The kids had a blast and... grandma came with us. They were excited to show her all the fun things they could do. Here's Laney "performing" once again for us, her "audience." A little out of focus due to I only took the single stroller, so terror Noah was roaming free. Trying to keep him in my sights and take pictures didn't go so well, but he loved being free.Noah's grumpy face letting me know he DID NOT want me to take his picture, again.

Here we are back at home and cute Bella standing on her tippy toes. I wanted to get this picture and document this. This is how she always stands and "walks" around stuff. It's the cutest thing. She loves to stand on her tippy toes and I think it is A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E! I mean, c'mon, how can you not love that smile. The girl is so cute, but I'm not bias or anything.

More Zoo Pictures!

With a kindergartner home for the week from school, what do you do? Go to the zoo, of course! So off we went this morning with Lana and Carter. A blast was had by all, and we were all tuckered out and ready for our afternoon nap. The kids loved the animals, but I think their favorite part was the playground! You'd think they had never been on one before. Oh the joys of childhood. I took lots of pics again this time so here we go... Gorgeous tiger!

I love these guys! We had so much fun, and YES, I can keep track of them without the help of the older girls. I'm getting better and better, now if they would only get better at knowing what "stay by mommy" means. Gotta love 'em!

My little studly guy. He loves his "new" glasses. I let him wear Christian's spiderman sunglasses and he was in pure heaven. He kept telling me he would treat them good " 'cause they're my big brother's glasses and he would be sad if they broke." What a nice, considerable boy I have.

Love, love, love the elephants! Especially Suri- the cute little baby! I love to go to the zoo in the spring and see the babies. We also saw baby geese, soooo cute! It was a nice, lovely day at the zoo.

A Break from yard projects!

Our family has been doing yard projects like crazy over the last couple of weeks. We have been unable to do any during the week, so they all fall on Friday afternoon and Saturday. Not much of a problem for most, but when you have the "crazy" bunch we do, "a" project takes twice as long, not to mention just mowing the lawn takes 3 1/2 hours. Remind me in the next life, no corner lot house. Haha! Anywho, I was taking a break between our projects on Saturday and decided we needed to do a "cooking" project. The kids love when we do these. We came up with frozen bananas, YUM-MY! The four older kids did them with me, Logan just didn't want his pic taken. Poor guy, I think he is tired of mommy always snappin his pic!
Cute little-well not so little anymore-girls! They had a blast dippin' and rollin' their banana pops. I use to eat these all the time when I was little. My daddy gave me my very first frozen banana pop at Disneyland, and I've been hooked ever since! Love the good memories from childhood!

We had so much family fun this past weekend. I turned 33 on Saturday and the kids wanted a party. Wowsers, I'm already 33! Man time flies when you are having fun. We had doughnuts for breakfast-a big treat for us, we just don't buy them much, and I went to the Cheesecake Factory with my dad for lunch. YUMMY! He bought a whole cheesecake for the family so I wouldn't have to bake myself a cake. Such a nice dad! Love ya! We then made a trip out to the tulip festival since it was the last weekend for it. We had a BLAST! The rain stopped just long enough for us to tucker all the kids out. It was so nice we are definately going back to the gardens to see the rest. We only got about half the gardens done. The place is huge! I love, love, love our Thanksgiving Point pass. It is definately one that will be renewed. Our family has a blast there!The kids all loved the waterfalls, the pretty flowers, but their favorite thing was definately rolling down the big hills. We also got to see both a goose sitting on her eggs on the cliff and a horned owl. We had a lovely afternoon and one that the kids are still talking about. They all want to go back so they can roll some more. The hubs and I would like to go back to go and see the other half we didn't mangae to see. Much too rolling down the hills to do for the little ones to stop and smell the tulips, so to speak.
