Another day, another stocking taken down from the ribbon. Sheesh, time is just flying by! We pulled day 9 down and it had...PRESENT! I did this on purpose, due to the fact that Eric's work party was on this day and we wouldn't be able to go and do an activity. The kids all tore into the present like never before. They can hardly wait until Christmas. They are getting more excited everyday. Today's gift was...
CANDY CANES! YAY!!!
This present had another part too, I read a Christmas poem that explains the significance of the candy cane. The older girls liked it a lot, the younger ones don't quite get it, but they are trying.
Candy Cane Story
Jesus Gentle Shepherd, this cane of red and white proclaims the sweet love story born on Christmas night
This cane, you see, when turned around begins your name of Love and now becomes a symbol of peace proclaimed above
The lively peppermint flavor is the regal gift of spice The white is your purity and the red your sacrifice
And so this cane reminds us of just how much you care and like your Christmas Gift to us it's meant for all to share.
Merry Christmas and hope you all keep His love and prescence alive!
